I’ve seen some other comments on this poem, and I agree with you, on the fact that if you read beyond the mere lines, it does make sense, no matter what language it’s written in. Of course, I do respect other people’s outlook for in fact that’s what literature is about, isn’t it?, ie viewpoints, feelings, etc, which may vary from person to person. To my mind, both translations are very well interpeted.

What's the English for...
What do you call a long distance bus whose seats can be lowered in such a way that passangers can sleep comfortably while travelling at night? Yesterday I saw one such bus on the highway, and on the rear it read "sleeping bus". Is this term correct? It sounds odd to me, kind of taken from a fairy tale or sth., but well, I’m not a native speaker of English, so who knows, maybe it’s right If there's anyone interested, in Argentina we call it "coche cama".
