-My proficiency level is beginners. I know the Greek alphabet and can read Greek because I also speak Spanish and it's the same concept, you pronounce as it's written. But do not know how to speak it. -I need to learn Greek because I married a Greek national, we are moving back to Greece within a year and I will like to at least be able to understand simple concepts. - With the right instructor I plan to dedicate to the language as much as possible. - The qualities I look for in a teacher are general knowlege of Greek, conversationa l and comprehention .

I would be grateful if there is anyone out there who can help me. i am looking to study greek on a basic level. i am looking to move to Athens in around 6 months but would like to learn some basic Greek before i move. My partner is Greek so i have some very basic knowledge already but would like some professional help.
I am aware through friends that there are some job vacancies in Athens for me which would allow me to use only English but i would like to learn some basic conversationa l skills as i would like to communicate outside the workplace. i am hoping to learn more of the language once i am there with the help of my partner and friends but i really would like to start now.
I would therefore be very grateful to anyone who can help.
