Hello everyone
I'm an 18yr-old guy from Slovenia and would love to learn Russian. Also, if somebody is a native speaker of German, I'd like some help with that as well. In exchange, I can help you with Slovene and/or English.
If anyone is interested, please contact me, but you'll have to be a gold member, as I'm not..

That's nice. In that case, I would like one of theese 2 things:

1 pen-friendship
2 a list of verb and noun declinations in Russian :)

And feel free to ask stuff about Slovenian as well

Re:Re:Hello everyone
I've replied to this once already, but it has been more than 24 hours now and I'm a bit concerned about it :)
So here is the thing again:

Since none of us is a gold member, I would be very happy if you could make me a list of all Russian verb and noun declinations in this post for starters.
And please do ask some stuff about Slovenian or any other language you wnat to learn. I would be glad to answer.

Re:Re:Re:Hello everyone
I'm glad to see your replay:)
as for verbs hm we have a lot of them :) but I try to explain general rules. we have 2 declinations. The ûóñùòâ is when infenitive ends on -èòü and verbs, that ends on others (as -àòü, ÿòü, óòü, åòü) are the first diclanation. in different tenses the verb's endings are transformed. For example the verb õîäÈòü is the second diclination so in present it will be õîäÈò (ÎÍ õîäÈò - HE goes)as for the first declination: áåãàòü (to run) in present will be îí áåãàÅÒ (he runs)
Do you have msn or e-mail? I think it makes a lot of time to wait for replaies here
It woud be good if you explain me some basic rules of Slovenian:)

Re:Re:Re:Hello everyone
as for nouns we have 6 cases: nominative, genitive, dative, accusative, instrumental, and prepositional
and three declinations. About what do you want to know?

Re:Re:Re:Re:Hello everyone
(hopefuly the other post has been posted as well)
Ok, now let me write down some basic facts about Slovenian grammar:

I'm having some trouble with the english terminology, so here's 2 expressions I've found in a dictionary here:

conjugation = for verbs (probably a synonime for declination), Slov.=spregatev
declension = for nouns (declension in 6 cases), Slov.=sklanjatev

NOUNS:
-3 sexes: m., f., n. ofc :)
-6 cases of declension;
-with a few different types of declension for each sex (f.:3 types, m.:3 types, n.:1 type (a few of these are almost not used at all, so don't worry about all the different types :)
-numbers: singular, dual, plural

PRONOUNS:
I won't go into too much detail here..

VERBS:
-3 tenses (a 4th "past perfect" (predpreteklik) is practicaly not in use any more)
-verbs conjugate in 3 ways: past, present, future

ADJECTIVES:
-numbers
-adjectives
-adjective pronouns
their declination (or whatever it is we do to them :) ) very much follows the one of the nouns they are describing

There. I hope this makes any sence. I'm sure it's very similar to Russian in many parts, but I think it's useful to know where one's at and what (s)he's learning. If you'll know all the stuf I've written down here, your Slovenian will be extremely good in my opinion.

In my next post, I'll start with the most common verb and noun features, which, if you ask me, are not too hard.

Till next time,
have fun,
Mencinger

Hello, I'm not a native speaker of German but I've been speaking the language since I was a child, so maybe I can help you if you still need some help?

I'm not a gold member either but i guess we could exchange contact information somehow?

I would like to learn slovenian my self, out of interest for the country, but i have no real knowledge of the language as of yet!
