How to keep words you learn in mind?
Hi there...
I am a new member in here. I am learning Spanish, french, and italian. I am a native Arabic speaker . I want to tell you what i am doing to keep words i learn in mind. I got this idea from my sister's teacher. He was studying spanish, so to keep what he was studying in his mind his mother,as he was a child, used to write everythings names and stick it on them. For example, she stick the word for door on it that whenever her child will face the door he will read the word, and keep it in his mind. Do you thing that, by seeing these words all the time in your face, you are going to forget them? No i don't think so. So try it and tell me if it worked or not.
See you later,
Latefa

Excellent!! I have another method, although it's a bit harder, it's more effective, And it´s using your memory. For example: I speak Spanish as a Native language, but I speak also English, French, Italian and Portuguese. So take a word you want to learn, for example: "Ivory" (the material that are Elephant's long tusks made of) in English and link that word to a well know word in your language. For example in Spanish sounds like "VÍVORA" (snake), so I just imagine that instead of long tusks, 2 dangerous "vívoras" are going out from the elephant's mouth. it depends on your creativity. The more extrange things you can imagine, the longer-term will remain the word on your mind. If you know other languages, you can even link the word to other foreign words. For example take the italian word "maschile" (masculine), in spanish we have the word MAS (more) & CHILE (chili) so to remember the meaning of MASHILE (MASCULINE) imagine a MAN eating "MáS CHILE" (more chili) than everybody trying to prove everybody, he is a real man, not a female.
