English speaker would like to learn Punjabi/Hindi
I am an English teacher in the US who will travel to Ludhiana, Punjab India. I want to converse with my hosts and the community in Punjabi as well as learn the connections between that language and Hindi. My hosts are from Chandigar and now have a home there as well as Ludhiana. The family is Sikh, so learning about the Sikh cultural norms would be of great benefit to me, especially as a female who will be in the company of mostly males.
