Re:Report to Greko by Nikos Kazantzakis

1) Ο Τελευταίος Πειρασμός (English title: The Last Temptation)
2) O Χριστός Ξανασταυρώνεται (English title: Christ Recrucified)
3) Ο φτωχούλης του Θεού (Unfortunately, I don't know if there is an english translation of this)

Διάβασα αυτό το βιβλίο εδώ και πολύ καιρό στα Αγγλικά. Μου άρεσε.

Re:Looking for Primo Levi fans in Italy
hello a klark,
how are you? I hope this letter finds you well.
My name is Spiro, I'm from Sydney Australia and I'm about to start reading " if this is a man" by Primo Levi. Have you read it?
Maybe we can read it simultaneously and then talk about it.
I'm also learning Italian at the moment. I am of Greek heritage.
Let's begin shall we!

Re:Re:Re:Book club, anyone interested? Let's begin already : )
Dear Angela,
How are you? I hope this letter finds you in good health.
So you want to talk about Spain?
I would like to talk to you about a very famous Chilean named Pablo Neruda. Are you familiar with his work? I cannot get enough of him, I especially like poem xx [puedo escribir los versos], I have memorised it in English, Spanish and now I'm working on the Greek version. I hope you have a fabulous day and I'll hear from you soon.

the beat generation. Calling all lovers of Allen ginsberg.
hello there book lovers, I really love Allen ginsberg and all his works especially "howl, kaddish, sunflower sutra," is there anybody out there who knows him and feels the same intense admiration and love for him? I recently bought his collected poetry for $20 Australian currency. I really love the imagery of Kaddish and the saxophone ramblings of Howl. Is there no end to his genius?

Re:Book club, anyone interested?
I think a book club online would be a great idea. Maybe a different member could nominate a title every 2-4 weeks depending on the size of the book. Poetry is the genre that really moves me, and also I find that if you read a bilingual edition of poetry it also assists in learning another language; verbs have already been conjugated. I've been reading Pablo Neruda's poetry for years now and I can recommend all his work esp poem xx [twenty]. I would really enjoy being part of the book club [if there are any seats available]
Kind regards
Spiro

Please help!!!!
I'm trying to learn Modern Greek and have many questions. My first is how do you do the subjunctive (na) or do "kai" when na doesn't mean to or must and when "kai" doesn't mean "and" or "even"?
Examples:
Ma eida kai stin Atheena
Oso kai na thelo
alla kai
einai ki'aftos enas eirmos
Ee mikhanee sto seemeio na ksekineesei.
Also what does Ki'an mean if not "and if"?
Thanks,
Renee
