He is probably speaking slower and with more careful pronunciation. It probably lacks the same emotions that inspired the original utterance. The phrase may have been more informal or slang than he would like to admit. With automatic speech recording however, the system captures everything spoken. You will always be able re-listen to the original version and train your ear to understand the language spoken in the real world!

How to Start Practicing a Foreign Language Using Voice Chat
The fastest way to start is to search for members or browse the quick links below and leave a voicemail or text message. Your partner can reply in voice chat and you will be notified by email.
But first, you may want to try the voice features in a private chat with yourself. Speak in both your native language and your target language. Adjust the recognition language in Settings when you speak in a language different from your browser's language.
