A reason I joined this thing is that I'm working hard on my Irish and improving fast. I'd love a pen-pal with better Irish than me.
Even more interesting than that would bein a pen pal with Scots-Gaelic, our beauiful sister-language. ;) Been watching a bit of BBC ALBA recently, understand a just a little more than a quarter (nearly half for kids programmes!).
I also speak fluent German and near-fluent Russian.
