Details: i am a 41 year old male, i worked in my family business as a fisherman, being skipper of a prawn trawler for ten years during my seventeen years at sea. On leaving the industry i gained an HNC in IT and taught word proccessing and database, spreadsheets in Campbeltown Grammar School. In 1994 i became involved in local radio spending the next nine years as a director of ARGYLL FM. During this time as well as presenting three two hour shows a week i was also director of finance for the station in charge of the day to day running of the station as well as supervision of the advertising staff. I left in July 2003 to seek a new challange. I have always been interested in broadcasting and the media and during the last twenty years have been writing and publishing articles for press and magazines. I have also written several childrens books. My hobbies include DIY and i love to work with my hands.Cooking, golf, and sports in general. I am an avid reader and on a recent holiday read six books in two weeks, while taking in the delights of the beautiful Algarve region of Portugal. |
