Not sure i think you meant 'mad' not 'mat' in the clue
Instead of "no lo tomes a mal", in English we say "stay cool,calm and collected"

In English we say "When you get angry,keep your cool and..." Many people make the mistake of saying mad- but that really means crazy. It should only be used to describe angry dogs that are foaming at the mouth.
