Interesting... I always thought it was called "Le Fin de Siècle."
Instead of "la belle époque", in English we say ""The Gilded Age" or "Fin de Siècle""

in australia, we would actually use the French term itself. 'La belle epoque', I think, is a bit like your 'fin de siecle': it refers to an unclaimable past that was nevertheless somehow better than the less-than-satisfactory present.
Instead of "la belle époque", in English we say "the good old days"
