My friend and I would like to learn turkish - we currently do not speak the language at all but have turkish friends and would like to be able to speak to them in their language.
We would like to have lessons for 2-3 hours a week and are mostly interested in conversationa l understanding in the first instance.
We understand that turkish is quite a difficult language to learn so we would like a teacher who is patient and has a sense of hunour.

1) i have a proficiency level of basic-interme diate.
2) I am learning turkish as my husband and his family are all turks living in turkey. I also will be looking to find a position of employment eventually in turkey.
3) I have the gramatical basics but need pratise in speaking and listening.
4 ) I would dedicate as much free time as possible around my child and part time work committments. I work 3 days per week. These things also will depend greatly on the cost of the course as this is an issue.
5) The qualities i am looking for are a committment to me as i will be committed to them and be consistent in there teachings, attending all appointments as have found in the past that teachers who miss weekly meetings are less likely to continue with teaching. One missed week causes problems as we tend to forget what was learnt the previous week.
I also know of 4 other ladies who are at my level and would be willing for a group session should the cost be more efficient.

I have a little spoken Turkish, ie can ask for things in shops and order drinks food, greet people. my accent is good as i have turkish-cypri ot parents who live in Surrey.My comprehension is fair i can understand the jist of things and slow speech.
I would like to be able to converse properly with reletives and on holiday.
I would be able to spend 2 to 4 hours a week?
Ideall y i would like to attend a group session, but realise this may not be possible.
