Hello,
My daughter (12 years of age) and I are interested in learning ASL through either small group work or with just us. We know the alphabet, some simple phrases, etc.
Kedra (my daughter) is constantly signing me, and we wish to learn more in order to fulfill her interests and to keep my brain from atrophying :). I took a beginner's ASL course about 20 years ago and have taught my daughter what little I remember.
My daughter is gifted and will be very keen to do her best.
Sinc e I have a neurological disability, I would prefer individual lessons be in my house, but my husband would be willing to drive us if that is not convenient or if a small class is available.

For many years I have admired the are of signing. I would be starting at the beginner stage, the majority of what I know consists of the alphabet. I am a stay at home mom with three children, so I have been out of the work force for seven years, now that my youngest is going into kindergarten, I want to learn and eventually have a career in signing. I was looking into courses offered by schools, with my schedule and my husbands, it would be dificult to manage the times of the classes. The time I would be willing to put into the lessons would probably depend upon the teachers availability. I am a very easy going and quiet person and can get along with anyone. So if you have the patience(lots of) and a sense of humor, we should get along just fine.
