I studied Portuguese for some time back in Europe but I would now like to pick it up again.
The reason is quite simple: Portuguese is a very beautiful language that can give me access to interesting literature and a very diverse cultural background - I am hoping to travel to Portuguese-sp eaking countries in Africa, South America and of course to Portugal and I would like to be able to communicate with locals when I am there.
I can manage to read entire books in Portuguese - chiefly also because I am fluent in French and Italian and I can normally guess the meaning of most words if I don't know them. I would like to now improve my speaking and writing skills and also my pronunciation . Also, my knowledge of Portuguese grammar could do with a brushing up.
I can spend 2-4 hours per week.
In terms of language teacher I am really looking for someone who I can talk to and who can correct my mistakes; also someone who can explain why it was a mistake. But they do not have to be a certified language teacher.

Hi,
I am intending to apply to French universities in a few years' time, after I stop working and my objective is to pass the DELF/DALF.
I am only at the beginner level but I do have some basic knowledge, as have spent 1 year at Alliance Francaise de Singapour many years ago. Now and then, I still try to read simple French to keep my memory of the language alive.
I would like to have individual lessons once a week, 1.5 hours per lesson, on Saturday or Sunday, or even twice a week if I find that the tutor is very good.
Most important quality of the teacher is that he/she must have teaching experience in a language school and can help me pass the DELF/DALF.

I am a beginner in Brasilian Portuguese and I am interested in learning this language. I am keen in the conversationa l aspect of the language as I would like to practise my spoken Portuguese (Brasilian).
I have grown to love everything about the Brasilian culture after practising Capoeira and viisitng Brasil recently.
I plan to stay in Brasil for a while and I hope to be a confident speaker of the language.
