I'm trying to learn farsi because of my family's background, it would be great to know the language of the culture I originate from. I am a complete beginner, learning from scratch. I would really like to be able to converse with others in this language and I am willing to dedicate as much time required for these lessons. I am looking for a teacher who has patience, great teaching skills, experience and the ability to be accommodating to which learning style I would be able to use.

My name is Akarin, I live in Melbourne in Australia. I am willing to learn Farsi and Afghan Persian, but next year I will be tutoring Afghan refugees as a volunteer job. Although the refugee centre comprises of children and adults of many backgrounds other than Afghan, and I am nonetheless very interested in learning Afghan Persian and Farsi myself. I have several Iranian friends who have been helping me out, but I am still a beginner and my formal spoken language is probably the best. I am looking more to learn formal (and informal) spoken language rather than written language, but I understand written language is still important.
