Hello,
My name is Frances Cheverton and I am interested in learning Danish. I recently spent three weeks in Denmark and fell in love with the culture, people and the language.
I have never learnt Danish before and I would be starting as a complete beginner. I have also wanted to learn another language and Danish is so different. I am looking for a challenge and I think this language will offer it.
I am currently study Social Work at the university of Queensland on a full time basis, but I have days off uni this semester that I would like to utilise. I am available twice a week for lessons and am happy to meet in person either at my home or in the city, maybe even at university?
I am looking for a teacher who is fun and can make the language interesting and enjoyable to learn. I am willing to give anything a try so, I am looking forward to seeing what you can offer me.

I am truly a beginner in this language and although I have purchased books and tapes, I feel I would greatly improve my ability to learn if I had someone to practice with and learn from. I may be relocating to Amsterdam in about 9-12 months and would like to feel comfortable enough to converse with people and have skills to build on in order to find employment. I would be able to devote about 2 hours a week (plus independent study, homework, etc). I do not have a natural ability to learn languages, and would need someone with a great deal of patience and good communication and teaching skills.

I studied danish for 10 months at Studienskolen in Copenhagen.
Now I would love to take back my knowlegment in this language as I am moving back to Denmark next year...
