I am a beginner Mandarin speaker, who can read and write a little. I have good pronounciatio n, but poor memory. I am learning Mandarin because I spent time in China and I love the language. I would like to study all areas, like grammar, reading and writing. However, I get very flustered when I'm attempting to talk to a native Mandarin speaker and am too embarrassed to talk. I would like to dedicate and hour a week to studying Chinese with a tutor. I would like planned lessons with clear objectives set out for me from the beginning of the lessons. I am a beginner in learning Chinese and Korean, although I'm a little more intermediate when it comes to Japanese. I'm learning these languages just because I enjoy it and I think they will help me out in my career path eventually. Mostly in all of them I need to improve on my conversation skills, I dislike working on it but I know I have to. I pick up writing and grammar, etc very quickly so it's not as much of a problem.
I'm looking mainly for Korean or Chinese help right now. I plan to go to China soon and I'd like to practice more and get used to the language again before I go. I would just like to have a patient teacher who will focus more on the positive than what I'm doing wrong.
