I have not began any classes yet, but I would like too. I want to learn Tagalog (filipino). I would like to learn it mostly because my boyfriend is from the philipines, and his family and him always speak it. His parents always accidently speak it to me because they forget that I speak english, and I would like to know what they are saying. In the future, such as 6 months to a year, we plan to take a trip to the philipines for a month or 2, and I would like to know how to communicate with the people. I know a reasonable amount of spanish right now, and I know tagalog is part spanish, so I believe that would help; I enjoy learning languages. I am looking for anyone good at teaching, that is willing to teach me tagalog. I could probably dedicate 2 nights a week towards learning, and it does not matter how many people are in my class. :) ~Jennifer

My proficiency level is beginner to intermediate, and I am learning French for a couple of reasons. First of all, I have a home in Ottawa and will be returning there in September. The job position I'm applying for there requires a working knowledge of French. Also, my girlfriend is Mexican and speaks Spanish and French fluently, but English only as a third language. Thus, for the sake of good communication and a healthy relationship it is important for me to learn one of her languages.
Particular improvement is needed in conversation as this is primary for my job and relationship.
I am willing to dedicate a few evenings a week to this, but am flexible.
Qualities I am looking for in a teacher are dedication and clarity.
