I am a 17 year old girl, living in the North Eastern United States. I have been taking German in school and I'm pretty good at it. I also take latin in school but since this is my first year my vocaulary is limited (not that it really matters since it's a dead language) I have always wanted to learn how to speak Gaelic and Japanese (I'm a big fan of anime and manga) and I thought swedish might be fun to learn to. I love languages and am always interested to learn new ones ^_^

Halo. Is mise Brandon, and I am seeking friends fluent in the Irish language. I am learning it so I can teach my son, and so that I can help it remain a livin language. Plus, my family came from Derry, so I am very interested in learning the mother-tongue. If any irish speakers are out there and are willing to help me become more fluent, I'd greatly apreciate it.

I am a college professor of astronomy. I want to learn Danish because of the great memories of an old Danish watchmaker friend who has been dead over 40 years. I am presently learning to be a watchmaker and want to learn something of the language and country of my favorite childhood friend's homeland.

53 year old college professor of astronomy, physics and computer networking. Love science fiction especially H.G. Wells and Jules Verne. I am French heritage but never learned the langusge. I grew up in New York City mu father spoke French when he was a boy but never taught me, what a waste. I am interested in learning something about the language so that I can someday read Jules verne in the original. Also love Toulouse LaTrec, great artist.

Hello. My name is Jacqui. I was born in the US but my mum is from Scotland (Ayrshire) and I have always loved my Scots roots. Now, I want to expand this to learn the language. I also think it'd be cool to learn Irish Gaelic and study the differences. I am fluent in English and know a little Spanish.

I've recently taken an interest in learning about my family who are primarily italian. Though we are not close, I have never met most of my Italian realatives but hope to do so soon. Next year my mother and I are planning a trip to Italy in hopes of learning about our family history and possibly finding any realatives who may still reside there. I thought it would be helpful in aiding in our search if I could speak the language, besides the fact that it would be interesting to know.
