Hi, I am an Englishman and I decided it was time to learn a language. I am eight months in and at about HSK level II++ (Apr 24). I put in quite a few hours a day and take once a week lessons. My parents only spoke Czech at home when I was young. I learned English when I went to kindergarten but we did not speak English at home. I have since lost contact with anyone I know who speaks Czech and would live to have someone to speak to on the phone. I will be 99 this month and only speak to myself currently in Czech.
