I am going to be teaching English in Thailand starting this October, and I would like to have at least a basic understanding and skill level in speaking and writing Thai by the time I get there. I am an absolute beginner, having only self-studied the alphabet and numbers. I need improvement in all areas, including grammar, conversation, pronunciation , and general understanding . I would like to study at least twice a week, depending on location of tutoring sessions (I live in Olympia, WA and am willing to travel as far as Seattle a couple times a week). I am looking for a teacher fluent in Thai (or who is a native Thai speaker) who will be friendly and also challenge me.

I am looking to learn Thai since I am considering living in Thailand in the future. I have no previous experience with this language. I have a good ear for languages (I speak spanish from childhood and French from living in France many years ago). I am looking to develope fluency in spoken Thai - though I would like also to learn the written language.

Hello,
My name is Tyree and I would like to learn to speak Thai. My plans are to move to Thailand later in the year and I feel the need to get a good grip on the language before I make this move. Not only to learn the language but learn the culture aswell. I think this would be very beneficial if I'm going to start a new life in a foreign country. I've always wanted to go to Thailand. I know next to nothing about the Thai language (beginner). I would like to dedicate as much time as you can provide but scheduling our sessions around my culinary school schedule. I want a teacher who understands my needs as a student and knows how to make learning this beautiful language fun.
