I am planning on going to volunteer in South America within the next year and some placements require fluency in spanish (or def an asset). I have taken 2 spanish courses in high school (french highschool)- but forget most of it.
I would like to be able to meet up once a week (depending on our schedules)

I am desperate to learn to fluently speak Spanish. I have been married to a Mexican man for a year, and still have not been able to learn enough Spanish to even have a conversation in Spanish with him. I have tried a couple of computer disc sets to learn Spanish, and I have found that they are not holding my attention enough to teach me efficiently.
I would say that I am beyond a beginner level, but not quite at an intermediate level.
My biggest problem is feeling confident enough to speak to native Spanish speakers.
I would like to have at least one, two hour personal lesson a week. I would like to have an instructor who makes me feel comfortable speaking Spanish too, and someone who will be able to hold my attention and keep me wanting to learn more.
I will be traveling to Mexico by Christmas of 2010, and my goal is to be able to fluently speak Spanish with my husbands’ family and friends in Mexico.
