My background is punjabi but the family have been out of Punjab for nearly 100 years, having moved to East Africa. I believe that is why slowly, our punjabi has become diluted. I would really love to brush up my punjabi skills and would like to be more confident in the way I speak this eautiful language of my forefathers. I understand Punjabi in the main, and it is spoken that I sometimes muddle myself up on. I would really like to develop this area and then I can have the confidence to speak to my Kids and teach them.
I would say I need improvement in maybe accent, grammar and to be a lot more fluent in my spoken punjabi.
I would like regular telephone conversations during the week at maybe the same time after choosing topics for the day...e.g. shopping one day, going to the school the next, going on holiday, meeting relatives after a long time etc...
I would like to dedicate at least one to one and a half
