I am looking for a Chinese teacher, preferably native-speaki ng, to provide private lesson to my 4 children aged 3, 7, 7 and 9 years old at my house. Malaysian teachers will be considered as long as their Mandarin do not carry the local accent. I am NOT looking for a tuition teacher, but one who teaches Chinese as a second/foreig n language as my children are of mixed parentage (Chinese/Germ an). At present, the children's understanding of the language is limited due to no exposure. I would like for them to develop an interest and be able to learn conversationa l Mandarin for a start in a creative and fun manner, then slowly progress to reading and writing. The teaching method should be flexible and not limited to classroom style. For instance, a typical session can be a cooking lesson, a gardening experience, or a handicraft workshop. The objective is for the children to look forward to their next lesson with you. I would like the children to take twice a week lesson, preferably on weekdays from 4pm and perhaps Saturday mornings (if 2 weekdays per week cannot be arranged).
