I am a student of philosophy, undergraduate , of especially German philosophy and Martin Heidegger. I am self-taught in reading German, but wish also to be able to write in German, which I am poor at. I have a good background in grammar and linguistics.
I wish also to gain advice on the possiblities of gaining fluency in German speaking, e.g. I consider travel.
I also wich to study certain German poets, especially Holderlin and George, appreciating the subtelties of the language. I seek the advice by someone experienced on how I should best further my abilities in view of my particular aims.
Furthe ring my study of Heidegger is my ultimate aim.
I imagine one or possibly two lessons weekly woulg be good, and I would devote many hours besides to study, if a course were settled upon.
Help with these perhaps non-standard concerns would be much appreciated, or perhaps indication of where I might otherwise seek it, thankyou.

I have no experience in any other language than English and Mandarin - although, I haven't used mandarin in a while, so it can be quite awkward for me.
I intend to learn Japanese in the hope of eventually working in the country or at least doing some translation work casually. I have also realised I am terrible in learning grammar and pronounciatio n on my own, which is why I need a face to face session with tutors.
I currently work and study as an assistant nurse, I can dedicate about 10 hours a week of personal study towards language studies.
I can be a very shy and awkward student, so I need a teacher that is patient and understanding . due to my living circumstances , I would prefer to visit the tutor at his/her home.

I am learning Mandarin for personal interest. I have been studying Mandarin at the University of Adelaide for three semesters, and I completed a four-week course in January 2009 at BLCU, Beijing. I am not a beginner, but I need a lot of help with conversation (speaking and listening) and pronunciation . I'm coming to Beijing for the whole of February 2010 and I'd like to immerse all of that time in conversation. I'm looking for four hours per day each week face-to-face, plus home-stay (if I can find one).
