I have wanted to learn Spanish for a while and decided that the best way to start would be to move to a Spanish speaking country. I, myself, am an English language teacher and so therefore know the time and effort it takes to learn a new language. I am a complete beginner and the only Spanish I know is what I have picked up since moving here a couple of months ago. I would like to learn all the areas of the language: grammar, vocab, writing, listening and converstaion. I am able to afford a couple of lessons a week, but if the classes are good I would be willing to increase this to as many as possible. I am looking for a teacher who will keep me enganged in the lessons, who makes me want to go to class everyday and one who is fun but firm. I would like to be given homework on a regular basis and a varity of lessons and learning styles to be used. This is something that not only do I want to do very much but now that I am living here is essential to my survival. I feel that I am missing out on a lot Mexico has to offer and want to rectify this as quickly and proficiently as possible.
