I lived in Japan for a few years as a child, and have always carried a love of the language with me. I have tried for many years to improve my skills but, after a decade of awkward self-study, still remain in a strange beginner limbo. I'm mostly looking to build my spoken vocabulary bank and strengthen my simple grammar skills. I'm looking to spend a half-hour to an hour on daily lessons, though my work schedule is inconsistent so arranging routine times is unlikely. I'd like my teacher to be open to ideas I may have on how to approach my language learning, such as using magazines and children's books.

The main reason that I want to learn Japanese is anime, but while I was doing that, I fell in love with its culture, And I am going to visit Japan one day.
