To whom it may concern,
My name is Richard, and I was born in South Africa, but have been living in Australia for the past seven years.
The foreign language in which I have selected, Afrikaans, has always be a language I have wanted to learn. The predominant reason is that leaving South Africa at a young age, I never had the full opportunity to learn Afrikaans. Having Afrikaans blood, as well as immediate family members being able to speak Afrikaans (as their second language), I have always wished I would also be able to communicate and understand them, as well as when being in South Africa, I can furthermore communicate with native Afrikaans speakers.
De spite knowing basics, I would still classify myself as a beginner, in all different aspects such as speaking, understanding , etc.
The areas in which I feel require particular improvement include conversation, which is my prominent focus, although all aspects I would like to improve.
I would like to dedicate a lot of time in lessons, as my passion to learn Afrikaans is strong, and will therefore enable me to want to spend as much time possible learning. However, other dedications such as university, may at times restrict time allocated to lessons, such as during exams.
I am looking for an enthusiastic teacher, who is willing to offer assistance and help, and is willing to dedicate time in providing lessons to myself.
