I would like to learn conversationa l Italian so that I can converse comfortably with someone who speaks only that language. I am at the beginner's level. I have taken a few classes at the library and the beginners level at York University but will likely need to do my beginners level again. I am a registered nurse and registered psychologist and have very flexible hours. I would like either small group or private classes to learn Italian as I do not find large groups helpful for learning. I am willing to dedicate whatever time is needed to learn this language. I would like my teacher to be supportive and encouraging as I have had bad experiences with teachers who were critical and condescending which does not work for me. I would also like the teacher to be willing to teach me quickly so that I don't have to wait for a long time to be able to speak Italian. Ideally, I would like to be speaking Italian in the next four months. Thanks very much.

Hello, I have been interested in learning Italian for many years and have had lessons in the past which I loved. Sadly though as I have no one to practice what I have learnt does fade out of my memory. My husband and I are travelling to Italy again soon and I would like to be able to feel confident in speaking the language when we are over there.
I do work full time but can be flexible, and we have only 11 weeks before we go away. Maybe 2 hours per week with lots of homework!!! I would love the teacher to be able to draw out what I have learnt and give me the confidence to speak. Kind regards Louise Bath
