We are looking for dynamic Playgroup Directors who are
fluent in English and Cantonese / Mandarin!
Description & Duties:
Th is role will involve leading up to 12 children from 0 to 5 (with Parental/ Carer presence) through a structured and educational Chinese language learning program.
Oth er responsibilit ies will include set and pack up of activities, enrolments and input over program development.
Skills & Attributes:
Applicants for this role must:
- be fluent in both Mandarin OR Cantonese AND English
- be passionate about working with children
- h ave a recent police check
- poss ess a current First Aid certificate
- demonstrate strong leadership skills and be:
o reliab le
o motivate d
o enthusias tic
o and above all… FUN!
Exper ience:
This role will particularly suit applicants who are:
- qua lified/ studying or have experience in Early Childhood
- qualified / studying or have experience in Linguistics / Translation/ Cultural studies
- ex perienced Childcare Workers/ Nannies
Ot her information:
Our playgroups are from Monday to Friday between 9.30 – 11.00am and are located in:
- Hornsby
- Chatswood
- City (Ultimo/ Pyrmont areas)
- Car lingford
- Ep ping
- Parram atta
- Pennan t Hills
- East wood
Hourly Rate:
Up to $40/ hour depending on experience

I currently live in Japan and have done for just over 4 years. In early April 2011 I will return to my hometown of Adelaide and I would like a tutor that can help me maintain and hopefully improve my current Japanese level. I have JLPT N3 and although living in Aus again, I would like to aim for a higher level in the future. My main purpose for seeking a tutor though is to have relaxed conversations and maintain my Japanese, not so much intensive study.
