Beginner - I don't speak a word of Portuguese, but I've done years of Spanish, if that helps any.
Program requirements - I am taking a program that requires language studies. Also, career advancement is a reason. I hope to start working in December, and Brazil is one option.
I want to dedicate 3 months to the lessons, that's how long I have in this program. I will however continue to study once I have completed the lessons.
I need a patient teacher. I've heard some languages that make sounds that are not familiar to only english speakers. I have friends who can't understand that I never learnt to use my deep throat to form words. I am very determined to learn, but I will make mistakes. My teacher must understand that.
