I have no knowledge of Portuguese at all, and I would like to learn some basics to get me started. My interest in learning Portuguese is business-rela ted, so learning business terminology will eventually be a priority for me. I speak conversationa l French, and studied at Middlebury College's language immersion program for six semesters.

Due to my previous partner I have started learning Portuguese. As I have not had much practise so far - apart from on holidays in Portugal - I would like to improve my skills and get to a point where I can have a proper conversation in Portuguese. I understand a lot more than I can speak. I tought most of it to myself by listening, reading books, listening to Portguese music and learning tapes, watching TV and using a PC language course CD-Rom. I want to start from the beginning, the grammar etc. to be able to form sentences the correct way. I am looking ideally for a teacher that speak German or English to better explain everything to me. As I am travelling a lot with work, weekends and evenings would be best to arrange training - either in person in London or over the internet.
