Hello. I am Onur Hic, a graduate of stanbul Technical University, Interior Architecture Department. I am currently working in an architecture office in Nisantasi. I also reside in Osmanbey.
I am planning to do my masters in Belgium. The most significant requirement of the program is a B2 level Dutch. I have been trying to improve my command on the language myself and believe to have made some progress on my own. Although, i am starting to realise that I need a more decent and scheduled Dutch training in order to meet the requirements of the program in a year.
I can not really highlight on which areas i need to train more since i need to improve my overall command. Still i am guessing that my weakest side is listening and understanding what i hear.
Sinc e i work in the weekdays full time, i am available from 8pm everyday in the week and all day in the weekends. I can virtually go anywhere in istanbul in the weekends, although i would prefer the lessons to be around beyoglu, nisantasi, sisli and besiktas.
To me, the more i spend time on my lessons, the better for me. Thus, i am willing to schedule up to 4 lessons per week.
The qualities i expect of my teacher are mostly a good command, variety in teaching skills and materials and patience. Friendliness and ease of communication is naturally preferred. Also a native Dutch speaker, if possible a Flemish speaker would be great but hey. I may be asking for too much, but you never know.
I hope to get a response from a Dutch teacher as quickly as possible.
