I am basically a beginner in learning the Portugese language. I've always wanted to learn the language because when I was young, it was spoken to me by my grandfather. I feel I need improvement in learning proper grammar, and to have the ability to properly converse in the language. I would like to dedicate at least 5 hours (in person)a week in learning the language, and of course more online.
Th e qualities I'm looking for in the instructor is someone that is patient, and quite knowledgeable with the language-a fluent speaker. Someone that is organized, and knows what he/she is doing and teaching. A sense of humor is always helpful in teaching.

The reason i would like to learn it is because i have a friend who lives in Brazil and i would LOVE to learn a seconed language as well as communicate to him in his language. I am a beginner interested in learning the portuguese language. My girlfriend is portuguese. I am interested to learn the language as I am going to travel to Macau at the end of the year, as well as Portugal and Brazil next year. I am willing to partake in 2 hour tuition face to face. I am looking to be challenged and my main objective is to converse with locals and understand what they are saying. Not really interested in grammer etc. Im looking for a easy going but knowledgeable tutor who requires me to do tasks and hold activities to test my knowledge.
