I am not unfamiliar with French, as I can read French with reasonably good comprehension , and I have read a few books. The problem is, I am self-taught, and hence lack firm grounding in grammar. I have little experience [and scope] for writing and I am sure I shall be making lots of mistakes. And I have zero experience in speaking and find it tough to follow movies.
I shall appreciate if my teacher can allow flexibility in time and can customize a course for me.
My interest in learning [or relearning] French is purely out of love, and my area of interest is literature.

I am learning French as I have a French boyfriend, and his family speaks little to no English. I have a few books and cds at home and am doing self study. It isn't going as quickly as I would like.
I would like to have basic skills and knowledge about the language. I would also like to be able to communicate with my boyfriend's family.
I am willing to dedicate many hours a week as I am not currently working.
My teacher should be dynamic and encouraging, as I find French to be a difficult language.
