I want to learn italian without any particular reason, just to be able to talk in case of travelling to Italy. I am a beginner, I've no knowledge of italian language. I am looking for lessons to improve my knowledge of Brazilian-Por tuguese. I will be travelling in Brazil for 6 weeks (from the end of February 2011'til early April 2011), and would like to have a good grasp of the language before I leave for this trip. I love learning new languages, and I speak some French, too.
I am a beginner and have only taken 6 classes, (I have some vocab and a few verbs, can speak in present tense,) but I learn very quickly. I especially want to be able to hold conversations with ease, but grammar and reading/writi ng are important to me as well. I have been trying to teach myself and it is difficult to learn with no help.
I would like to spend an hour or two per week, within an affordable price range of lessons, with a teacher who will challenge me and push me.
