I want to learn Modern Hebrew. I,m 73 years old, retired and would like to travel and maybe volunteer in Israel. Listening skills are very important. Processing incoming information like new sounds can be a real challenge for me; so I,m wanting an instructor who is patient, a native speaker, and understands that seniors (like 73 Yr. olds) learn a little slower--but can learn. I,m willing to invest time and effort to learn Hebrew. At least 2 hours/week instruction over Skype and 2-6 hours for homework/prac tice. My schedule is flexable and I,m very dependable in keeping appointments. I have been working on the Alef-Bet for several weeks. I'm having fun but there are many questions.

I have been living in Israel for the past 6 months and took beginners ulpan. I would love to continue the classes to improve my knowledge of the language. I need work with grammer and conversation. I have a basic understanding but I don't know enough or feel confident enough to have a full conversation. I can read and write without vowels. I would like lessons once or twice a week.
