My name is Yara. I'm a writer, translator, dreamer, and avid culture explorer. I want to learn Korean for many reasons.
F irst, I have always loved languages. I am fluent in English, French, and Arabic, and can understand basic Spanish, though I never developed it far enough to be confident in my skills. I also really love sign languages but I could never afford real lessons so I didn't get past the ASL alphabet and basic words.
Bes ides that, travel is my favorite thing in the world, and I love experiencing new cultures and getting to explore as much of the world as I can.
Final ly, I recently got into Kpop, and I am just hooked! I would love to be able to understand what my favorite songs are about without needing subtitles.
I live in Lebanon (the Middle Eastern country, not the city in Indiana lol), so I'm assuming lessons would have to be online. My schedule is pretty fixed though, so that should make online meetings a bit easier I hope.
I can't wait to kick-start my Korean-learni ng journey!
