I would consider myself a beginner. With the growth of the Spanish community within the Dallas area, I feel that it is my responsibilit y to learn the Spanish language. I also want to learn Spanish because I think it is a beautiful language. I am very interested in learning conversationa l Spanish. I am less concerned with grammar, etc. I would like to look into taking the lessons in person with a friend with a single teacher. By doing this, my friend and I learn at the same time with and from each other. I don't believe that I will be successful in learning Spanish if I don't have anyone else to talk to in Spanish on a regular basis. I want to spend as much time as it takes to become fluent in Spanish. I want a teacher that is good at helping me learn Spanish without making me feel foolish or that tries to beat me up over not learning quickly enough.

I am a college student, home for the summer, who has taken Spanish classes for seven years. I have completed all the levels of Spanish grammar, but in preparation for studying abroad in the Spring, I need to gain some confidence in my speaking abilities.
I'm looking for a native speaking teacher who can provide a supportive environment for someone who needs to become more comfortable speaking Spanish.
