I would like to be able to function as a tourist in Korea without using my native language, which is English. I am a complete beginner seeking to learn basic conversationa l skills. I have done a few months of self-directed learning using Duolingo, Memrise and TTMIK, and I watch some Korean dramas to try to recognize some common words and phrases. These platforms all have limitations. Currently my skills are too basic for conversation so I would like to start a text/social media chat relationship which hopefully will progress to web-based conversation in the future. I intend to come to Busan for 2 weeks of language school next year and would be keen to meet in person then. I am able to speak some basic Spanish if you are looking for a second language to practise.
