My name is Megan and i've been trying to go to a Denver college for the last two years. I am unable to fund my education but still want to learn. At some point i would like to teach secondary or elementary education to the hearing impaired. My schedule is free on Fridays and i'm willing to spend as much time as i need to in order to further my education. I have no experience in sign language except the basic alphabet, and i'm not very good at that. I'm looking for an instructor who is patient, reasonably priced, AND accredited. I am a beginner student. I do have some rudimentary knowledge of Spanish. My Italian pronunciation skills are excellent. My goal is to be as conversant as possible for a trip to Italy I'm planning either later this year or in 2009.
I am willing to devote as much time as necessary to learning. However, it is also important that after the lessons I can find somehow to use my new language skills.

My parents spoke Italian when I was very young. I understand some words and phrases and I can read some of the vocabulary and piece together the content. However, I cannot converse in Italian. I wish to visit Italy to meet cousins for the first time. They do not speak English. I would be willing to do two to three sessions per week.
