I currently have no experience with the Japanese Language besides basic greetings. I want to learn Japanese because i find their culture and lifestyle fascinating and so much different from western lifestyles. Since I have such enthusiasm for the Japanese I plan to travel to Japan and study abroad there as well. I am willing to dedicate about 4-5 hours a week to learn the language. I would like to be somewhat fluent by July 2009. In a teacher I am looking for someone that integrates lessons into everyday life, teaches me about Japanese culture, and makes lessons fun and interesting.

I have been living in Japan for the past four years but have not formally studied the language. I am a beginner (I can speak an elementary level of Japanese and I cannot read or write Hiragana, Katakana or Kanji) Hiragana, I am familiar with but I do not know it.
I would like to improve and maintain the Japanese language ability I have so that when I return to visit friends I may be able to speak properly or better than I do.
I want to read and write, inaddition to being able to speak well. I would like to start in September and maybe weekends. I have not decided and I so not know your availability.
My teacher should be relaxed, repetitive and resourceful in his/her delivery. I am not great with languages so it will take patience as well. Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu .

Hello, I am definitely a beginner, I have wanted to learn Japanese for many years, but I've always put it off. But now I am determined to learn the language!
I am interested in learning to speak, read and write in hopes to travel to Japan one day. Also to view television programs from there.
I am will to dedicate years in my endeavor to learn, I have no delusions that I can learn everything right away.
I would like to have a patient teacher who can work with me one on one to be sure I not only know the correct word to use, but the correct pronunciation , and how to write it!
