I am currently studying for a masters at a university in Rome. However, my course is taught in English and I have never studied Italian before. As I will be living here for a year I really want to take the opportunity to learn a new language.
I am definitely a beginner.
I would like to improve my conversationa l Italian to a level where I can freely communicate in restaurants, bars and with Italian friends.
D ue to my time commitments with my studies I will only be able to commit an hour or two a week to my Italian lessons (also depending on costs)
An approach where I get to converse with the teacher a lot is my preferred way of learning.

I would like to learn basic skills in Italian for personal use. My fiancè is Italian and I would like to learn in order to travel home with him and communicate with his parents and friends. My proficiency level is beginner. I can count, say the alphabet, conjugate a few verbs, and can understand much more than I can speak. I would like to dedicate 2-3 hours of course time per week, plus any required additional hours of self-teaching (homework). In a teacher I appreciate clarity, fairness, and dedication to teaching.
