I want to study Japanese, but I have no basics or whatsoever in the Japanese language. As a beginner, I have no idea how I should go about getting started. In that sense, I need someone to assist me in building up the foundation. I tried to do some self-study, but it turned out ineffective.
I want to put as much time as possible over the winter break, which ends on January 20th.
I am looking for an experienced teacher, who has much experience of teaching beginners. Also I want an intensive tutoring sessions because I only have a short amount of time before I head back to college.

I am a student at Kenwood High looking to learn the Japanese language. I am only trying to learn this for recreational purposes. I have friends who learned japanese and I would like to learn as well. I have never spoken or read japanese before, I have only seen it in movies. I am taking spanish at my school and this is my fourth year doing it. I would like to dedicate as much time to these lessons as it takes to learn this language. One quality that i am really looking for is tolerance. I am an average learner so I am looking for a teacher who will understand that i may not get it my first five tries. One more factor that i have is that my family does not have much money so we may not be able to pay much.
