I am a complete beginner. I am an older student and I work full time in telecom. I want to know Chinese because I feel I would be more marketable. I do not know if I can afford private lessons, but I would like to know the cost. I would like to have at least one lesson in person per week and online work, also. The method I have learned in other languages in my youth emphasized drilling and writing, but not much conversation. That would be important if I am to use it at all.
