In 2003 I lived in Guatemala for 4 months and left speaking the language being mostly conversationa lly fluent. I felt that there were many gaps however in my vocabulary and that my grammar needed improvement.
Since then, I have reviewed Spanish here and there, but I have lost a lot of it. I think it would probably only take a few lessons to get back to where I was when I left.
Now, I am a middle & high school Substitute Teacher and I am seeking to gain back the confidence I had speaking Spanish. Eventually, I would like to be able to teach Spanish at the Junior and maybe the High School Level.
I am also returning to Guatemala this summer as a leader of a Spanish language/volu nteer trip for 2 weeks. I will need to be comfortable with my language skills before I head off with my team on this adventure.
I would like a teacher who is a native Latin American, so that I can practice listening to 'real' Spanish. I would like to concentrate on conversationa l/verbal skills while focusing on problem areas w/ grammar.

I have grown up around Spanish, taken it in high school, and college and at one point I was fairly advanced... However, it has been a few years and I am rusty and really want to pick up where I left off and become a fluent Spanish speaker.
I would assume that I would need the most help with conjugation and to refresh my vocabulary. I would like to be able to get together at least once a week, maybe two.
I am a fun, outgoing, and easy going person.. I would like my tutor to be focused on teaching but also be able to have fun and maybe have some meetings at a Spanish restaurant or something outside of the home. A tutor with a sense of humor is a must! :)I am so eager and excited to get back into Spanish so please contact me!

Looking for lessons for my two children (7 and 9) and myself. I have taken Russian, French, Latin many years ago and would like to continue learning.
Neither of my children have taken language classes (my daughter has taken a fun Japanese class in which she learned to sing in Japanese, but otherwise no other classes).
Looking for someone good with children and who will make learning fun. We are willing to devote at least once a week (possibly twice) for lessons and I'm willing to either learn as a group or individually with my children.
Want someone who is patient, sense of humor, and takes their teaching seriously but who is also flexible as I am a working single parent with many other 'irons in the fire.'
