Why learn Spanish: I have Spanish friends and want to be able to converse with them. I'd also like to learn a 2nd language for future travel to Spain, and career advancement.
I'd really like to focus on conversation ... the grammar would be nice, but I'd like more to be able to speak & understand, over writing the language.

I am looking for a Spanish Language teacher, preferably from South America. I have a basic understanding of Spanish and some vocabulary, but I want to improve my understanding of grammar so that I can construct sentences confidently. I really want to be able to regularly converse with someone in their native language, and to ask them questions. Informal private lessons, once a week would be perfect, but I am interested to see what my options are. I would also like to be introduced to a spanish language course that I can do over the internet on a daily basis that is interactive. There are so many options out there, I do not know which to choose.
Last year I went to South America and I am interested to return for a longer period and volunteer somewhere remote. This is why I would like to continue learning Spanish.

I am a beginner learning Spanish. I have had only one basic class, but I am motivated. I am learning Spanish to improve my understanding of the world. I can read a newspaper or magazine and have a basic comprehension . I can converse, but haltingly. I need a larger vocabulary, better face-to-face conversationa l skills, and more command of verbs.
I am looking for a personal tutor for myself and my wife, who is also learning. I would like to spend 2-3 hours per week with a tutor (and will do homework on my own)
