It is time for me to learn another language, and this is one I've always wanted to speak. This is for me, for my soul.
I am a beginner here, but I have studied 4 years of French in high school, 2 years of German, a year of Italian, and a year of Russian. I went to Catholic school as a child and know English grammar and syntax very well. I trained and performed as a classical singer, so I learned how to convey languages, even though I didn't speak a language thoroughly.
I'd like to to speak in conversation as well as translate readings/poet ry. I'm looking for a teacher who is clear and who has a good sense of humor!

Hi--
Initia lly I have a specific need. I am about to publish a YA novel entitled Swan of War, which takes place in Sligo and shuttles between ages of Irish myth and legend.
I researched the book for several years, however, as I'm submitting the final draft, I would like to have an Irish speaker review the glossary and check the pronunication for the 80 Irish mythological names and terms.
We could do this via email-- if you let me know your rates, I also teach in midtown if you prefer to meet up. In addition I would very much like to begin studying Irish, so perhaps we could have a longer connection.
