Hello there. There are two of us who are looking to improve our virtually non-existent japanese as we are both currently english teaching assistants here in Kobe. It would also be beneficial in the survival of everyday life. It is fair to say that we are both very much beginners though we do know a little already.
W e are looking to pick up the japanese language to improve our grammar and conversation levels. We are willing to dedicate roughly up to six hours per week depending if the tutor is available.
The only quality we ask is that the tutor can speak fairly good english and is patient.

My proficiency level would be beginner. Although, I have been self teaching myself the language for a year, but I still cannot speak it with confidence.
I have always wanted to learn the language ever since I watched Japanese animation. That encourages me to be an animator for my career. I think the Japanese culture is truly amazing. I would like to visit Japan someday and maybe work there too.
The area I need improvement is proper grammar.
The amount of time to dedicate my language lessons would be as much as possible, but hopefully only a few months to a year depending how quickly I can pick it up.
Qualities I am looking for in my lessons or in my teacher, I would perfer a teacher who is Japanese so I will be able to learn slang and speak the language properly. This will hopefully put more quality into the lessons for me.

My name is Kirsteen Fraser and I am female. I am a student just starting an Event management HND at Glasgow Metropolitan College.
I have always been fascinated by Japan and it's culture. I would love to work there hopefully in videogames or anime related events. I have attempted trying to pick up the language from anime but I feel I would learn better with an actual teacher hopefully in a class. I would not mind travelling to a class.

I understand these would take a lot of study but i am willing to go the distance and study in my own time to achieve my goal of working and living in Japan at some point in the future.
