I am a beginner who whishes to learn how to speak, write and read japanese fluently. The reason for this is because I am a Kendo practitioner and I wish to go to Japan to test for my Nidan. I will be testing for my shodan in February of this year so and plan to go to Japan to test for Nidan. I am looking for a teacher who knows the language well enough to take me to the level that I wish. I do not wish to remain a beginner for ever or learn just enough to get by. I want to advance and become fluent in the language. As you can see above I already speak four other languages so learning a new language comes pretty easy to me.

Hi, I'm 20 years old and I have always been interested in Japanese language and I am taking a minor in Japanese in university. I have only been to Japan once, and I would like to practice my Japanese converstaiona l skills (I'm still not very good). I would like to practice once or twice a week after school.

No idea of the language except rudimentry lessons in French. Need for business purpose.4-6 hours weekly time or mostly up to 10 hours a week. Teacher has to be open minded in teaching and help out in grammer issues also.

I want to learn Japanese. I have tried some study on my own and feel I should be able to learn quickly. I am good at languages and speak 2 European and 4 Indian languages.
The approach that might suit me best would concentrate more on conversation training, with grammar being explained/int roduced as needed. I would NOT be interested in the usual classroom style of teaching that seems to be the norm. I would also want to tailor/guide the teaching process in a way that might suit my requirements.
It would be best if the teaching session were one-on-one sessions - about a half hour a day or 4-5 hours/week.
